VP - Business Operations
As Vice President of Sunbelt Utilities Corp, Bobby Petrillo helps lead the family-run company founded in 1999, serving developers and contractors throughout the Charlotte area. Bobby focuses on financial management, business operations, and early-stage project consulting, using Sunbelt’s historical pricing database and analytics tools to help clients understand site and utility costs before projects break ground.
He works alongside Sunbelt’s experienced field leaders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and with transparency. Bobby is passionate about building lasting relationships with clients and continuing Sunbelt’s reputation for reliability and integrity in the Carolinas.

Business Operations Analyst
Ashley joined the team in September 2025, bringing a fresh perspective and a passion for people to this family-owned business. With a background in multi-unit franchise management, training, and leadership, she knows what it takes to build high-performing teams and deliver exceptional service.
As part of the business operations side of the company, Ashley is involved in a little bit of everything, from job performance analysis and bookkeeping to accounts payable, internal communications, and social media. What she loves most is the connections she gets to build along the way, and fostering employee engagement is a big part of that, because a team that feels valued shows up differently. Her Excel skills may be questionable, but she’s more than just a personality hire.
Miles Smith

Miles Smith is an Estimator at Sunbelt Utilities who enjoys being part of an industry where teamwork and problem-solving turn plans into something real. After graduating from Appalachian State University, his path into construction began through hands-on and outdoor roles, where he developed the strong work ethic and attention to detail that continue to shape his approach today.
At Sunbelt, Miles values working alongside a close-knit team and contributing to the company’s continued growth. He takes pride in developing his skills and welcomes new challenges. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, and playing pickleball.
